Bond funds can look very attractive to investors. Most bonds funds sport a very attractive stock chart, rising steadily in recent years, with a dividend yield that beats most stocks. However, understanding the way a bond fund works will be much more valuable than buying an attractive graph with a good dividend.
There are many risks associated with 'bond funds', more so than just owning an actual bond in your account.
